Ingredients
- 1 can (8 ounces / 227g) refrigerated croissant dinner rolls
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
Steps
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375ºF, or 190ºC.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl for about 30-40 seconds. Place on the side.
- Measure and mix the cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl.
Preparing the Dough
- Unroll the dough on a cutting board. Separate it into 4 rectangles or 2 triangular pieces that are attached together. Make sure that the seams are sealed together.
- Use a basting brush, coat the 2 rectangular pieces of dough with a light layer of butter.
- Sprinkle about half of the sugar/cinnamon mix onto the buttered dough.
- Place the other two dough rectangles on top of the buttered ones, as if you were making a sandwich.
- Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife and cut the dough into 5 or 6 thin strips, lengthwise.
- Take each strip and carefully twist it 3-4 times. Place the strips on a greased cookie sheet.
Baking the Crescent Churros
- Bake for 11-13 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Brush the tops with any remaining butter and sugar/cinnamon mixture.
