Make Chocolate Balls
Do you want something yummy, but want it to be easy and quick? Try these yummy chocolate balls. This is a no-bake recipe that's very well-known in Sweden.
Ingredients
- 100g room-temperature (7 Tbsp) butter
- 80g (a heaping 1/3 cup) sugar (preferably white, but may be any)
- 100g (1 cup) rolled oats
- 6g (1 Tbsp) cocoa powder
- 2g (1 teaspoon) vanilla powder
- Drip coffee
- Powdered sugar, coconut powder, or oats
Steps
- Brew the coffee and let it cool before use.
- Add the butter, sugar, rolled oats, cocoa powder, and vanilla powder into the bowl.
- Check the coffee to make sure it's not hot, and then pour {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} of it into the bowl.
- Use your hands to knead the bowl's contents into a dough-like mixture. There should not be any clumps of butter when you're done.
- Take a piece of the dough and roll it until it turns to a ball. Continue with the rest of the dough and make sure they're the same size. If you like, you may try making different shapes with them!
- Roll the balls in Coconut powder, confectioners sugar/ pearl sugar or oats (r be creative and use something else.
- Put the balls in the fridge for a few hours or until they're hard. But that's not necessary if you like them soft and warm. Try them both ways, and pick your favorite!
- Eat all you want of your new delicious chocolate balls!
Tips
- If you don't have any coffee around, just skip it!
- Cut the butter into smaller pieces to make it easier to blend.
- If you don't have any cocoa use some other chocolate powder or maybe grated chocolate.
- Do not microwave the butter, it will make the dough balls runny and hard to handle and form.
Warnings
- Don't burn yourself on the coffee; make sure it's not hot before pouring it into the bowl!
