Contents
Ingredients
- 1 large banana
- 8 Smooth-and-melty chocolate pieces.
Steps
- Gather your ingredients.
- Have the banana thinly sliced and then get a microwave-safe bowl and place the smooth-and-melty chocolate chips in the bowl. Melt the pieces in the microwave for 10 second intervals, stopping to stir, until they are smooth and shiny.
- Cover about 3/4 of a banana slice with chocolate, using a cream stick or the end of a spoon. Repeat for the rest of the banana chips.
- Freeze the finished chips for about 2 hours or until the chocolate has hardened.
- Cover a dessert cup (like the kind used for strawberry shortcake) with whipped cream if you want to, and place the choco-banana chips on top... yum!
Tips
- If you want, you can use shell chocolate, when it gets cold it hardens more (like a shell) and it will remain a shell even at room temperature. It can be found in the grocery store with all the other ice-cream toppings.
- This same recipe can be used even for strawberry slices or whatever fruit you want.
- Chocolate chips are not recommended; you need more of them and they don't get as smooth and shiny
