Make Fake Lip Piercings

Have you tried to make lip piercings, but they either don't stay on, or people can tell they're fake? Won't your parents let you get a real one, you're afraid of getting one, or just flat out don't want a needle shoved through your lip? Well you've come to the right place! You can purchase any of these materials cheaply from craft stores.

Steps

  1. Take a piece of earring wire. (It is about an inch long and has a loop; used for dangling earrings)
  2. Wrap the earring wire around the second bend of your little finger lightly. You don't want to have a squished wire, it's a jerk to get back into shape.
  3. Bend up half-a-centimeter of the the wire at the curved end (the part that goes into your earlobe hole when you wear it) making a small V. This will be the part that's inserted in your mouth.
  4. Take the needle-nose-pliers and gently pinch the V flat.
  5. Cut off the other end (part with a coil and bead) of the earring wire.
  6. Slide it from the corner of your mouth, to its designated spot on your lip. It should be snug, so don't freak out if it is a little tight.
  7. Use your fingers to adjust it (use a mirror) and make sure it's rounded enough and comfortable. And if you want to add a cool bead to it, stellar! Enjoy!

Tips

  • A lip ring should be from the inside of your lip, to just below your actual lip. So don't have the lip ring be hanging into the air or down on your chin. That will just look stupid.
  • You will get looks, but just let it roll off your back. It isn't like it's any of other peoples' business on what makes you happy and comfortable.
  • Be unique. If you're doing this to copy someone, then don't do this. Or at least wait a little while before doing it. Even though copying someone is the best form of flattery, it can be annoying.

Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to non-gold or silver.
  • The product may rust after time, if so, then put clear nail polish on it. It will stop the rust, and give it a shine. But do not put it in your mouth until it has been dry for about an hour!
  • Don't wear these to job interviews, if it isn't for an art store or a Hot Topic, because piercings are regarded as unprofessional.
  • Whatever you do, do not go behind your parents' backs. If they say no, then try to explain your side of view. If they don't let you talk, then write a persuasive letter. They cannot interrupt it, and they will see your point of view. Going behind your parents'/guardians' backs will only ruin the trust bond, so don't do it.
  • Some people will label you as a troublemaker because you have "big bad piercings", just ignore it. If you're not a troublemaker, then prove that you can be a good person.
