Make a Fake Lip Ring That Looks Real

Does your Mom not want you to get a piercing in a "strange" place, like your lip, nose, or navel? Don't worry, you can easily create a simple and fairly convincing ring piercing using only tinfoil.

Steps

  1. Take a piece of tinfoil. Cut it to be about 1 1/2 centimeters wide and as long as you want the ring to be. (1-2 inches is normally good)
  2. Fold the tinfoil over three times, so that it is one-third of it's original width. Fold it by folding part in half of the way, then folding the other side over top of that fold. This is to make it convincingly thick.
  3. Squeeze hard on each end, flattening each end thoroughly. Do not flatten the whole thing.
  4. Now, bring each end together in a loop, or ring. Smooth it out as much as possible, and push both ends onto your lip/nose/ear/whatever.
  5. Finished and it doesn't hurt.

Tips

  • You could also buy a captive bead ring for less than $10 dollars, take out the bead, and put the opening where the bead was onto your lip/nose/etc. and squeeze the ring gently until it is just tight enough to stay on.
  • Glue it together. so it can stick from ends.
  • Keep the tinfoil as smooth as possible the whole time. Otherwise it will not look real.

Warnings

  • Be careful not to swallow it if you have it in your lip.
  • Be careful. Tinfoil can be sharp, and you'll need to push it tight against your nose/lip/whatever to make it stay on.

Things You'll Need
