Make Guitar Pick Earrings
Make an eye-catching pair of funky earrings that are a great conversation starter. They are cheap, easy, and quick to make.
Steps
- Buy two guitar picks that say something about you, not necessarily the same.
- Punch a hole in the middle-top of each (the larger side is best). You can use a thumb-tack, pin, small nail, or even a math compass.
- Open up a jump ring and slide one end through the hole.
- Slide the jump ring onto the earring hook with the pick still on it. Close the jump ring and repeat steps 3 and 4 with the other pick.
Tips
- Music shops (as in ones that sell instruments) often have a large variety of picks in different colours, shapes and designs. CD shops occasionally stock some, but it would be better to visit a music shop.
- To open up a jump ring twist the ends to the sides, away from each other to make it easier to close and so it retains its circular shape.
