Make Home Made Stickers
Stickers are everywhere. On signs, on spelling papers, on milk cartons. Being able to make your own sticker- with anything you want on it- would make for a great at-home activity for the creative!
Steps
- Lay your sheet of paper on a flat surface.
- Draw an outline the width of your tape and desired length of your sticker, as a guide.
- Using your colored pencils, create a design within the guidelines.
- Tear off a piece of tape in the desired length.
- Hold the tape taut and carefully stick it over your drawing.
- Press the tape lightly to help transfer the design.
- Peel the tape off slowly so the paper doesn't tear.
- Stick your homemade sticker wherever you wish.
- Finished.
Tips
- Use clear (translucent) tape, not the slightly opaque tape.
- When you stick the tape on, be sure you have a little area that is not stuck in place. This is where you will pull it off at.
- Try your best... you might not get it at first, but it eventually works!!
- Try different types of drawing tools.
- Don't press the tape too hard or the paper will rip.
Warnings
- Try not to use lined paper: it usually is too thin and will rip.
