Create a Glue Bracelet

If you are looking for a fun and creative way to make bracelets, this is a cheap and easy project!

Steps

  1. Clean and dry your hands thoroughly.
  2. Open your hand and face your palm to the ceiling.
  3. Swirl some nontoxic glue on your palm. Keep your palm held out firm, with the hand opened. Elmer's glue or a craft glue make a good choice. Pour a lot of non-toxic glue because it will shrink when you blow dry it.
  4. Spread the glue so that it covers all of your palm.
  5. Use a blow dryer for as long as it takes to dry. When you first start drying it, put the blow dryer on high, then once it dries, it's better to put it on low.
  6. Color the palm with the dried glue on it with a washable marker of your choice. Be careful. If the glue is not dry, the marker won't color on it.
  7. Make a small circle in the middle of the dried glue with your fingernail, keep making it larger until the edges are about string width.
  8. Keep opening it carefully without breaking the circle that is being formed.
  9. Separate the finished glue edge from the palm of your hand gently. If necessary, mold the bracelet with your fingers, by rolling it between your index fingers.
  10. Wash your hands using soap and water after putting the bracelet aside.
  11. Enjoy wearing your bracelet made out of glue!
  12. Finished.

Warnings

  • Don't use superglue , instant glue or any other glue that can bind to human skin. If you do, you will have to use Acetone (found in some nail polish removers) to take it off. Note that Acetone is a toxic chemical that can irritate your skin and (in high concentrations or with long term exposure) may damage your body in several ways. Read all warnings accompanying the Acetone, and when in doubt, contact a medical professional. Keep the Acetone (and glue!) out of reach of children and pets.
  • It may ruin the markers as well!
  • If you tug or pull on it, it will rip.
  • If you pour too much glue on your hand, it will take more time to dry, but the bracelet will turn out thicker.
  • Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly, with soap and water, after doing this!
  • Remember to keep the palm of your hand straight and open flat while the glue is drying or it won't turn out well.
  • Don't wear these bracelets in the shower unless you intend to ruin them!
  • It will get damaged, and the color may run onto your skin if the bracelet gets wet.
