Make Honey Roasted Nuts
Honey roasted nuts make an excellent snack for special occasions, such as during the festive season or a party.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp olive oil (good quality)
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 200g unsalted cashews
- 200g blanched almonds
Steps
- Mix the honey, olive oil, salt and cayenne pepper together in a bowl.
- Add the cashews and almonds and toss about in the mixture to coat the nuts.
- Prepare a baking tray/sheet with parchment paper or non-stick surface. Spread the coated nuts across the tray/sheet.
- Put into the oven and cook at 180ºC/350ºF for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Do not leave to blacken.
- Remove the nuts and allow to cool. Serve, or store in an airtight container.
- Finished.
Tips
- The honey roasted nuts will keep for up to one week in an airtight container.
