Make Honey Roasted Nuts

Honey roasted nuts make an excellent snack for special occasions, such as during the festive season or a party.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (good quality)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 200g unsalted cashews
  • 200g blanched almonds

Steps

  1. Mix the honey, olive oil, salt and cayenne pepper together in a bowl.
  2. Add the cashews and almonds and toss about in the mixture to coat the nuts.
  3. Prepare a baking tray/sheet with parchment paper or non-stick surface. Spread the coated nuts across the tray/sheet.
  4. Put into the oven and cook at 180ºC/350ºF for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Do not leave to blacken.
  5. Remove the nuts and allow to cool. Serve, or store in an airtight container.
  6. Finished.

Tips

  • The honey roasted nuts will keep for up to one week in an airtight container.
