Make Limeade Icee
This drink is great healthy and all natural. You will not be disappointed.
Ingredients
- 2 limes (not Key limes)
- 1 lemon
- 3 cups of water
- 2 cups of simple syrup
- 1 cup of crushed ice
Steps
- Put 2 cups filtered water into a {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} saucepan.
- Bring water to a boil, then immediately add the sugar and lower the heat to low and stir until fully dissolved. Let the syrup set to cool to room temperature.
- Squeeze 2 limes and 1 lemon into the blender pitcher.
- Add 3 cups of water to the pitcher and stir.
- Add 1 cup of broken or chipped ice.
- Blend the ingredients in the blender to desired texture.
- Add syrup to sweeten to taste.
Tips
- If you want you can add some mint leaves if you want a minty flavor.
- You can start by squeezing the lime juice into the blender container directly. That way you won't need to clean more than one container.
- You can substitute soda for the water and make it a Delicious Fizzy Limeade.
- For a delicious alternative to sugar, try agave nectar. It's sweeter than sugar so you need less and it may be viewed as healthier.
- You can also use honey to sweeten it.
- Sugar will not fully dissolve in cold water. A simple syrup is the easiest way to solve this.
