Make One Egg Waffles
Most waffle recipes call for lots of eggs and butter. This old-fashioned recipe calls for just one egg and a scant amount of butter. While waffles may never be the healthiest breakfast treat, at least this recipe helps!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Make Chocolate Scones
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1 egg, very lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Steps
- Whisk together dry ingredients.
- Add milk slowly, beaten egg and melted butter.
- Beat batter for 2 minutes and drop by spoonfuls onto a well greased hot waffle iron.
- Bake until steaming stops.
- Remove waffle from iron and keep warm until ready to serve.
- Done. Serve with a small amount of syrup, cream, jam or other favorite condiments.
