Ingredients
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1 medium banana mashed
- 1/2 cup water/almond milk
- 2 tablespoon peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon jelly
- 1 tablespoon chopped peanuts
Steps
- Pour some water into a saucepan and boil it over medium heat.
- Once the water has started to bubble, add in the oats and banana to the pot.
- Simmer until liquid is absorbed. Allow the oats to cook making sure you stir occasionally to prevent any burning.
- Scoop the peanut butter into the oatmeal. Stir until well combined.
- Scoop the oatmeal into a clean bowl once done cooking.
- Add some more peanut butter along with the jelly and stir together. Sprinkle the chopped peanuts on top for added crunch.
- Serve. Put a spoon into the oatmeal and you can eat your yummy creation!
Tips
- You can replace the peanut butter and jelly with almond butter and jam preserves if you'd like.
- Add different toppings such as almond slices or fruit for more flavour.
- While the oatmeal is cooking, cover the pot with a lid to prevent making a mess and to help the oats cook better.
- Save some time by cooking the oats in a microwave instead of on the stove.
