Make Cinnamon Raisin Oatmeal with Maple Syrup
This is unique oatmeal that has the delicious taste of cinnamon and raisin toast.
Makes 4-5 servings.
Ingredients
- 3 cups fast cooking oats
- 1½ cups milk (dairy, soy, rice, etc.)
- 1½ cups water
- Dash of cinnamon
- 2 cups raisins (or dried cranberries)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
Steps
- Pour the water and milk into a saucepan. Set the temperature to medium-high heat and place the saucepan over the stove.
- Stir in oats slowly. Continue stirring until thickened into oatmeal.
- Stir in the raisins, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Mix thoroughly to ensure everything is evenly distributed.
- Put oatmeal into four medium-sized bowls.
- Let it cool for 2½ minutes.
Tips
- Toppings can include brown sugar, more maple syrup, or maple sugar. If you really enjoy cinnamon, why not add a dash more to the top?
