Make Rhubarb Lemonade
With summer coming up, you want the perfect drink for any occasion. A BBQ, a party, or just a laid back summer day. Try making this simple but deliciously satisfying recipe that the whole family will love.
Steps
- With a vegetable peeler, peel lemon zest off of 4 lemons.
- Squeeze juice from 6 lemons until you have 1 cup of lemon juice.
- Put 2 stocks of rhubarb, 1 cup of sugar, the lemon zest and 2 cups of water in a saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a boil until ingredients are well blended together. Make sure the rhubarb is tender.
- Strain the mixture.
- Add the 1 cup of lemon juice to the mixture.
- Chill mixture in the fridge for at least 3 hours.
- When ready to serve, pour mixture in a large glass or pitcher.
- Add 2 more cups of water to the mixture.
- To add affect and texture, add lemon slices or crushed ice!
Tips
- This can be made into a margarita as well. Just add crushed ice and the alcohol of your choice and blend it up!
