Make a Mineral Tinted Moisturizer

Want to look good when you go to the beach, but don't want to cake on the makeup? Go for a tinted moisturizer for more natural, but lighter coverage. It's easy to make with either dry mineral foundation, or liquid mineral foundation.

Steps

  1. Add about a quarter size (or less depending on the amount of coverage you want) of your regular moisturizer in your palm.
  2. Shake about 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon of mineral powder into the moisturizer and mix.
  3. Apply evenly to your face using light, circular strokes.
  4. For liquid mineral foundation follow the article "Make Tinted Moisturizer"'s instructions.

Tips

  • You may also use regular foundation to create a tinted moisturizer.
  • Do not allow any liquid (such as the moisturizer) to touch the mineral makeup in the container as it may contaminate the minerals.
  • Use more minerals for fuller coverage, or use less moisturizer for full coverage.

Warnings

  • Always be sure to use enough moisturizer to cover your face. Without enough, the dried result will be caked on.
