Make a Resume for Customer Service

The purpose of a resume is to provide potential employers a summary of past education achievements and professional experience. Customer service roles are available in many businesses and industries, and most employers will look for candidates who have the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the position. Make a resume for customer service positions by highlighting your past performance and demonstrating a skill set that will bring specific talents to the job.

Steps

  1. Begin with contact information. Your name, address, telephone number and email address should be clearly written at the top of the resume. When employers want to get in touch with you regarding a job, they will not want to dig through pages and pages to get your phone number or email address.   2. Write an objective. Make a brief statement in 1 or 2 sentences about your goals, and express what you hope to achieve as a professional in the field of customer service.
  3. State your experience. Let potential employers know where you have worked before, and what kind of work you have done. Begin with the most recent job and list all the positions you have held. Include all jobs, even if they are not customer service positions. Certain skills and talents used in other fields will be appealing to potential employers.
