Steps
Making a Braid
- Brush hair thoroughly, it also works to have a shower and then as you blow dry your hairbrush it.
- Gather all your hair on one side of your head.
- Take out one small chunk of hair from the side and put it in front of your face. You will use this to make a braid. Push the rest of your hair aside
- Using the small chunk of hair make a very tight braid.
- In this step you can choose either: 1. Take your braid go all the way down to the bottom of your hair and put an elastic around it or 2. make it go down a lot of the way and then hold it tightly.
Tying the Braid to a Ponytail
- Take your braid go all the way down to the bottom of your hair and put an elastic around it
- Brush all the OTHER hair into a side ponytail. Add the braid in so it is in the front
Tying Two Braids to a Ponytail
- Brush all the other hair into a side ponytail and still hold tightly to where the braid ends.
- Put all the hair including the braid into a ponytail above where the braid ends. Finger out the rest of the braid that is below the pony holder.
- Both ways need to do this step. You will notice there is a bump on the top of your head from where you have started the braid. You again have two choices: 1. Use hairspray and spray it until it is flat 2. Use several bobby pins to hold it down.
- Finished.
