Make a Thoughtful Gift

Everyone can buy or make a big (thoughtful) gift this year. The gift idea explained in this article is based on getting a gift to reflect the personality or positive character traits of the person to whom you're giving it, just to increase the thoughtfulness of the gift-giving.

Steps

  1. Think of an adjective that describes the person you are looking for. For example, sweet."
  2. Find something that also means that adjective. For example, a sugary sweet.
  3. Wrap it up. Put it in a decorated baggy or jar. Try to match the adjective if possible, such as finding wrapping paper with candy pictured all over it. Or stick wrapped candy all over it!
  4. Write a related and pretty saying in the card. For example: Take your seat because you are about to find out how sweet you are.
  5. Think of other ways to build on the theme. The more obvious it is to the recipient, the more successful your gesture is!
  6. Finished.

Tips

  • Make something from your heart - not the store.
  • Make a nice card that reflects your personality and includes things to their liking, e.g. if they like cats, make a cat theme. Also, you can also use humour, since if they laugh it means they're enjoying it.
  • Remember, it doesn't have to be really expensive. People appreciate gifts that clearly took a lot of thought and effort, and if the gift suits them perfectly, they will know that you understand them.
  • If you love someone the smallest thing is the world to them as long as it comes from something you think is special.
  • This might look cheap or corny, but people will be able to tell you put a lot of thought into it.
  • Writing a poem or song is a cheap but lovely way to tell someone you care about them, especially if you write about why you love/like them. Including their name is a nice touch too. Also, make sure that the gift is something that means a lot to them.
  • Think about what they like, give it to them as a surprise.
