Name a Teddy Bear

Do you have a teddy bear that doesn't have a name? Do you want to name the teddy bear? If so, keep reading.

Steps

  1. Look at your teddy bear. What color is your teddy bear? Is he/she white? What about orange? Maybe he/she is particularly purple? Or possibly the teddy bear is pink. Maybe he/she is black? Or he/she might be brown? And he/she could be a mix of colors! If the teddy bear is white, you might consider naming him/her "Blanca" or "Blanco" because they both mean "white" in Spanish.
  2. Consider some of the following other color based names:
    • If your bear is orange, you could just name it "Orange" if you aren't feeling that adventurous. You could also name an orange bear "Pumpkin" or "Poppy" since some poppies are orange.
    • If your bear is purple, you might consider naming the teddy bear "Violet", "Mr. Plum/Ms. Plum", or "Eggplant". Also, you could consider "Cadbury", or "Caddy".
    • If your teddy bear is pink, then you could name it "Cotton Candy" or "Rose".
    • If your teddy is holding something out like a heart with love on it, you could name it "Lovey" or "Angel".
    • If your teddy bear is black, you could name it "Star" like a star in the sky, or "Midnight Sky".
    • If your teddy bear is brown, you could name it "Brownie" or "Chocolate".
    • If your teddy bear is a mix of colors, you could name it "Rainbow".
    • For a blue teddy bear there's a whole range of wonderful names. Try "Cobalt", "Azure", "Skye/Sky", "Midnight" or "Bluebell".
  3. Think about yourself. If you like chocolate then "Hershey's" or "Cadbury" could be good. Or try naming it after a character in your favorite book or film. Fans of actors and actresses could adapt their idol's name for their teddy. For instance, fans of Catherine-Zeta Jones could try "Cathze" for their teddy.
  4. Use classic names. Old English names are a wonderful choice for your bear, James, Spencer, Charlie or Theodore are classic and dignified for a bear. If your bear is purchased from a specific place or has any links to an area why not search for the names of small towns in that area? York, Quin, Yukon, Salem and Milton are all examples of places that can be used as names.

Tips

  • If the teddy bear for example is fuzzy and purple, you could come up with a name like "Purple Fuzz" or for example if you have a teddy bear that's tiny and brown, you could name it "Tiny Chocolate".
  • If your teddy is an animal, you could name it something similar to the animals name such as a tiger can be called Tigger.
