Open Front Boot on a Porsche Boxster when the Battery Is Flat

This will explain what to do if the battery on your Porsche Boxster or Cayman has gone flat and you need to open the front boot to recharge the battery.

Steps

1. Ensure the battery is flat.
   • Open the door by the key.
   • Press the button to open front boot, if it fails to open you battery is flat.
2. By the foot pan locate the fuse box.
3. Remove plastic panel.
4. Find the yellow fuse puller and use it to pull out the RED tog with a picture of the boot.
5. Using a car battery booster connect earth (black) to the earth on the car (any metal object).
6. Using the positive (red) touch the red tog you've just pulled out.
7. The front boot will now be open.
8. Dismount the battery.
9. Charge/replace battery.

Tips

• Never use over 12v.
• When opening the door remember the glass will not drop down so be careful when closing door.
• Ensure battery is flat.

• If using the incorrect voltage or amp you will damage the car.
