Operate a Crematory

For the first cremation of the day the crematory, or incinerator will need to reach a minimum heat. That heat temperature is regulated by state laws and is usually 1600 degrees.

Steps

  1. Let the Crematory or Incinerator heat up in the morning before first cremation.
  2. Insert (body) into crematory or Incinerator(animal carcass).
  3. Follow the instructions provided by the crematory or incinerator manufacturer, you can usually find these by doing a Google search for 'cremation manuals'.
  4. Cremate or Incinerate to desired time on specified make, model, crematory or incinerator specifications. The average Depends on the maximum cremation unit load, but is usually 60 minutes for a top end model. 2-3 hours for a lower end make, model unit.

Tips

  • Touch screen crematories and incinerators are much easier to operate than tradition timers and knobs
  • The first cremation of the day will always take a little bit more time, be patient.
