Pack for Transgender Men

Packing is the art of making it look like you have a realistic bulge in your pants to pass as male. If you are a transgender man or a drag king, this can be essential. This can also be handy if you have to do a part in a play or just for fun.

Steps

  1. Decide. Do you want to hard pack or soft pack? Hard packing is wearing a strap on under your clothes for sex play, while soft packing is just to create a bulge and is done with a variety of objects.
    • Who are you packing for? If it is a lover, consider hard. If it is just you, you can try either.
    • Where are you going? Hard packing should not be done in public since it can look like an erection if not done properly and should your packer come loose and "pop up" it can be quite embarrassing.

Soft Pack

Soft packing is a bit easier than hard, so it is advised to do this first to get a feel for packing.

  1. Try a rolled up sock and put it in some tight briefs. You can add a safety pin so your packer does not come loose and roll down your leg.
  2. If you wear boxers, safety pin the sock to the inside of your boxers. Just make sure it is positioned right before you pin it. Check the mirror so your bulge looks right.
  3. Another good method if you like boxers is to get a jock strap and put a commercially made packer in it. Simply put your boxers and pants on and you're good to go!
  4. Use a swimmer's jockstrap. This is exactly the same as a jock strap, except you can put it on and use it under swim trunks with a packer. (You can wear a shirt or a wetsuit top if you have not had top surgery, for transgender men.) Wearing swim briefs over this could be a good idea.

Hard Pack

It is a bit of a challenge but is usually only done at home so be sure to practice this. It takes some getting used to.

  1. Choose a dildo. The bigger it is, the harder it is to do and the more uncomfortable. Pick what suits your needs for what you will be doing and how long you will be wearing your packer. Decide realistic or non-realistic. This is up to you. If you are playing with a partner, think about their needs and wants.
  2. Method 1- Get a harness, and a dildo of your choice. Put it on like normal and then loosen the straps carefully but not so that it falls off. Put your undies of choice over your packer - loose boxers are better if your packer is large, and sometimes getting a size larger than you need makes it less of a squeeze. Move the tip of your packer so it is tucked under the waistband of your undies. Then add pants.
  3. Method 2- Follow the steps for method 1, but instead put it down the leg of your pants and/or boxers. You don't need loose boxers for this, tighter might be better in some cases. Cis men should never do this as it cuts off circulation to a flesh and blood penis and can cause injury.

Tips

  • Try everything at home first. Practice sitting, walking, standing and running to make sure you do not have a mishap. (Running for the bus and having your packer start coming loose and down your pant leg would be very embarrassing so make sure your pack is secure!)
  • An unlubed condom tied around your packer can keep it from getting "boxer lint".
  • You should probably wear "men's" pants when packing; "women's" pants are not made to have space for a penis. Although, some cis men wear "women's" pants, so it can be done.
  • Pack around your house to get used to packing, practice walking and moving normally.
  • Should your hard packer ever "pop up" know how to conceal an erection until you can rearrange your packer.
  • Get an STP (stand to pee) or a jock strap style harness (so that nothing gets in the way when you need to use the bathroom and you can just do your business without having to take your packer on and off)
  • Soft packers can be purchased online or in adult toy stores. Same thing with hard packers/dildos.
  • If your soft packer is sticky when you purchase it new, roll it in corn starch to help the rubber be less sticky. (It's from natural occurring oils in rubber which get absorbed by the corn starch).
  • A belt can hold things in place better if worn.

Warnings

  • If you are going through security, have a psychologist's note explaining your gender ID or keep the pack in your suitcase, especially if it has metal parts.
  • Some people may pick on you or think you are strange. They are just ignorant and uninformed.
  • When washing a harness (they do get sweaty and dirty) use a wash/lingerie bag so the straps do not get stuck on the agitator, causing a ruined harness.
  • If your harness has metal clasps or snaps, never clasp them shut and put it in the dryer - they can weld shut.
  • Packing tightly or hard packing large can cause bruising.
