Pair Jaybird Headphones on Android

This wikiHow shows you how to pair a pair of Jaybird headphones with an Android smartphone. This can be done with the Jaybird app or with the phone’s settings and is relatively simple.

Steps

Using Jaybird MySound

  1. Open Google Play Store. This has a white icon with a red, orange, blue, and green arrow in it that can be accessed from the homescreen.
  2. Type “Jaybird app” into the bar. This is at the top of the main page for Google Play Store.
  3. Tap . This has a black icon with a white design in it.
  4. Tap Install on the app’s page. This downloads and installs the app onto your Android phone.
  5. Open the Jaybird MySound app. You can do this by tapping the app’s icon in the folder or by tapping OPEN on the app page in Google Play Store.
  6. Select on the main menu screen. This will get the Jaybird app to search for the headphones you want to pair with your Android device.
  7. Put your headphones into pairing mode. To do this, press and hold the button between the volume switches on the headphones. This will ensure they’re detected when you start the pairing process.
  8. Select . The Jaybird app will then scan for the headphones you want to pair. Once they’ve been successfully paired, a “Paired successfully” message will pop up in the dashboard.

Using Bluetooth Settings

  1. Open the Settings app in your phone. This will have a icon and can be accessed from the folder.
  2. Select in the Settings menu.
  3. Select . Since Jaybird headphones use a Bluetooth connection to pair with your device, you’ll need to make sure it’s listed in the Bluetooth menu.
  4. Tap the name of the headphones you want to pair with your device. Once the name turns blue, that means the headphones have been paired with your device.
    • If you don’t see the headphones you want to pair listed in the Bluetooth settings, make sure your headphones are in pairing mode. To enable pairing mode, simply hold down the button between the volume switches on the headphones.
