Pair an iPhone 6/6 to a 2016 Toyota Camry
The world has become technology dependent and as technology is taking over the world; systems and programs are being developed and created at a crazy fast pace. Connecting devices with different operating systems might get complicated at some cases. The instruction described are only used for a Toyota Camry. Toyota Camry uses the Entune system and the iPhone uses the IOs 10.
Steps
- Start the car ignition. To be able to connect to the car and to ensure that the car is working at its optimum conditions it must be turned on. Also turning the car would prevent battery loss.
- Make sure that the car is on Park. Toyota wants to ensure the safety of its drivers so it does not want people to connect their phones while driving. The main purpose of connecting phones is to avoid accidents and make sure users are not using their phones while driving.
- Make Sure the car is not connected to any other devices. In order for the car to connect to your phone it must be unpaired and unconnected from any other devices.
- Press on the Audio Button at the car console. The Audio button enables the driver to get at the section where he can choose what type of Audio he prefers to use. For example, the driver might pick Radio, AUX, USB, or CD. But in our case we are choosing Bluetooth.
- Press on the Audio Button on the screen that has the Bluetooth sign. Pressing on the Bluetooth button is telling the car to pair via Bluetooth. Choosing Bluetooth is telling the car's software which media it should use.
- After Pressing the Select Device you have to press on the Add at the screen to be able to add your device to the system. Pressing on Add at the screen is telling the Car’s software to look for a Bluetooth to be paired too.
- Turn Bluetooth on for iPhone. To be able to connect to the car your phone’s Bluetooth connection should be on and ready to be paired to the cars connection.
- Make Sure your iPhone is not connected to any other devices. For the pairing of the iPhone and the car to work you have to make sure that both connections are free from any other interference.
- Press on Toyota Camry under other devices. This is the new device you want to add to your car and at the same time you want your phone to recognize.
- Wait until a message on the Car screen appears that your phone was connected.
- Remember not to use the phone while driving. The reason you have a car with a screen is to minimize the phone usage to ensure your safety and the other drivers’ safety.
- Put the seat belt on. If you want to enjoy the music played from your phone without interruptions you have to put the Seat belt on.
