Play Battlefield 2142 Single Player

Playing single player is a great way to burn off some steam or work on your aim. But the best thing of all is that you can play single player without having to be connected to the internet

Steps

  1. First pop your Battlefield 2142 DVD into your computer and let the setup load. Next install the game onto your computer, when the install is finished go to the Battlefield website (http://www.battlefield.com) and download the latest patch for Battlefield 2142 and download it.
  2. When the patch is done downloading you will need to install it into your Battlefield 2142 folder on your computer, the installer should do this without your need to change the directory.
  3. After the patch is installed you will need to create an account. Start Battlefield 2142 by clicking on [Start] and then hovering your cursor over the [Programes] panel of the Start Menu. Next hover your cursor over the EA Games panel on the Programs Menu. Next you will need to click on Battlefield 2142 and the game should launch.
  4. Now you will need to create your account so you can play Battlefield 2142, to do this click on the new account button and it will load your Internet Browser and send you to the create an account page.
  5. Fill out the form and enter your serial key which is located on the back of the game manual in your Battlefield 2142 case.
  6. Now that you have an account you may log in to the game. When you have done this a small file will be saved to your Battlefield 2142 folder containing your log in information.
  7. Now you should be able to disconnect your Internet and play Battlefield 2142 on Single Player anytime you feel like it without the need to steal Wi-Fi.

Tips

  • You need to first have access to the Internet on your computer in order to save your log in information to your computer so that you can play Single Player without Internet on Battlefield 2142.
  • Do not throw your log in information file on a file sharing website for others to play without having Internet on their own computer, they will gain access to your account and be able to delete your soldier(s).
  • Make sure to only do this on your own computer to avoid having your account hacked by another.
  • If you plan to play online it is recommended that you stick to Single Player for at least a week to learn the basics and to get used to your weapons.

Warnings

  • You cannot have the thrill of shouting "Noob!" over chat after you kill someone.
  • You will not gain Rank points or new unlocks if you play Single Player.
  • If you kill a bot with your knife you will not get its dog tags.

Things You'll Need

  • A fast Internet Connection (Broadband) is recommended.
  • Your own computer.
  • A Battlefield 2142 account.
  • The Battlefield 2142 DVD.
  • Battlefield 2142 and latest patch installed on your computer.
