Post from Your Camera Roll to Facebook Stories on Android
This article teaches you how to upload a photo or video from your Android’s camera roll to a Facebook Story.
Steps
- Open Facebook. It’s the blue icon with a white “f” on your home screen. If you don’t see it there, you may find it in the app drawer.
- Tap the camera icon. It’s at the top-left corner of your news feed. This opens your camera, along with several icons.
- Tap the two overlapping photos. It’s the icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen. This opens your camera roll.
- Tap the photo or video you want to share. It will now appear full-size in the Stories screen.
- Tap Effects to add stickers or frames. It’s at the bottom-left corner of the screen. This option lets you add fun frames and stickers to your photo.
- If you decide you don’t want to add an effect, tap the circle with a line through it—it’s the first icon in the list.
- Tap Aa to add text. This option lets you caption your photo or video by typing in any color you desire.
- Tap the pencil icon to draw. This opens a drawing tool that lets you draw freehand all over the photo or video in any color.
- Tap the arrow icon. It’s at the bottom-right corner of the screen. Now you’ll see several sharing options.
- Select Your Story. Make sure the circle is blue with a white check mark. You can skip this step if it’s already checked.
- If you also want to post the photo or video on your timeline, you can check the circle next to “Post.”
- You can also send this photo or video to a contact directly by checking the circle beside their name.
- Tap the send icon. It’s the blue rectangle containing a white paper airplane. This posts your photo or video to your story, and sends it to any friends you selected on the previous screen.
- Your photo or video will only be available for 24 hours.
