Put Eyeliner on Small Eyes
While the eyes are the most important part of the face, the "windows of the soul", adding eyeliner to smaller eyes can be a challenge at times and there is a risk of making your eyes seem eve smaller if misapplied. Putting eyeliner can be done with greater ease if you follow one of the following methods.
Steps
Upbeat eyeliner
- Pick the colour of eyeliner you are going to use. Black eyeliner can look harsh on blondes, so if you're a blonde, choose a brown or maybe a navy blue. Also, if you have pale skin, avoid wearing black eyeliner.
- Apply the eyeliner to the upper lashline. Make it slightly thicker at the outer corner. You can also wing it downward slightly, but only a small bit because if you do it too much your eyes will end up looking droopy and saggy.
- Take a soft brown eyeliner. Apply this to the outer half of the lower lashline and smudge it to make it look less harsh.
- Use white eyeliner. Apply this to the lower waterline and on the inner corner of the eyes. You can also apply it under the eyebrow to help lift the area. Using white eyeliner will brighten tired looking eyes.
- Finished.
1-2-3 flick
- Grab an eyeliner. Any kind will do, whether it be pencil, liquid, cream, gel, powder. The most effective type will be liquid, as this will give you the most precision.
- Draw a line across your eyelid. If you have limited eyelid space, try to draw the line on as thinly as possible. This is because if you draw the line too thickly, then barely any eyelid will be visible, making your eyes appear smaller. If you can, try to make the eyeliner a little bit thicker towards the end, as this will add dimension.
- Once you have drawn on your basic main line, you can stop here. You will have a basic line.
- If you want to be a little more daring, or you're going out to a special event, whatever the need may be, you might want to add a little extra oomph. For this, draw a line from your bottom lash line up towards the end of the brow. Then, connect the previously drawn line to the new one you have just drawn. By doing this. you make your flick, also known as winged liner.
- Now you're done. You should have a beautiful cat eye, ideal look for any occasion.
