Put Sheets on the Bed Wet
If you put your freshly washed sheets back on the bed when they are right out of the washer, they will dry quickly and look as though they have been ironed. Don't worry about mildew on the mattress. The sheets dry very quickly.

Steps
- Wash the dirty sheets in normal fashion.
- Make sure all excess water has been removed in spin process.
- Put the sheets in the dryer with the rest of the wash load. Pull out the fitted sheet after it has been heated (5 minutes).
- Put the fitted sheet on your bed, making sure it is pulled tight.
- Now remove the flat top sheet from the dryer (don't let it stay in dryer for more than 7 minutes).
- Put the flat sheet right over the fitted sheet and pull it all the way up to the headboard. Don't tuck in the sides, so the entire sheet can dry fully.
- Open a window, or turn on a fan to expedite the process.
- After the top sheet seems dry, carefully fold it back to allow the bottom sheet to dry fully.
- The entire process should be complete before it's bedtime!
Tips
- This works great with the higher thread count sheets (400+) that wrinkle so easily.
- When putting the wet sheets on bed, make sure you pull each one tight to smooth it out.
Warnings
- Doing this on a rainy day can cause your sheet to dry slowly. In that case you might want to turn your fan on for some time.
- Don't put the bedspread or other covers over the sheets until they are completely dry.
