Report a Project on Freelancer
Freelancer is a website where people can work from home on projects that clients post. It is a great way to make extra money and can even become a full time career. The only bad thing about sites like these is there can be people who are not exactly trustworthy. If you see a job that breaks the rules and regulations of the website, you can report the job to Freelancer so that it can get reviewed.
Steps
- Open a new browser on your computer. You can do this by double-clicking the browser icon of your choice on your desktop. The icon will vary depending on what browser you are using.
- Go to Freelancer. Type in www.freelancer.com on the address bar and press Enter. This will load the site on the next page.
- Sign into your account. Type in your email address and your password on the two boxes provided. When you are done, click the “Sign in” button to load your account.
- Find the job that you want to report. You can do this by clicking on the “Browse Projects” button, which is located inside of the red bar at the top of the screen. When you click on “Browse Projects,” click on the second option down on the drop-down list that reads “Browse Categories.”
- Click on the job. Once you are on the pages with all of the jobs, scroll through until you find the job you want to report. Once you find the job, click on it and a page will open showing more details about the job.
- Click on “Report project.” When you are on the details page, scroll down and look on the words “Report project.” When you find it, click on the link to open a new pop up window on your screen.
- The pop up window asks you a few questions about why you are reporting the job in question.
- Select the reason for reporting. The first thing it asks you for is a reason; this is represented by a drop-down menu. Notice that the menu says “(Please choose one).” Click on it to make a list of reasons appear.
- You can choose between a fake project, profanity, and other, just to name a few. Find the reason that applies to why you are reporting the job and click on it.
- Describe the violation in full detail. Click on the box below “Reason”; it says “Detail violation” beside it. Now you should type in full detail what happened that led you to report the job.
- Make sure you are specific as possible. The more details you include, the better the chance that the job will be taken down.
- Submit the report. The final thing you need to do is click on the blue “Submit report” button, which is directly below the detail violation text box. When you click on this button, the report will be sent for evaluation.
Tips
- Don’t forget to include the time, dates, and conversations you had with the client. All of these things are important when it comes to the seriousness of reporting a job.
