Rescue a Dry Mascara Wand

When the mascara wand starts to dry out a little, there is a small rescue you can do to make it go a little longer.

Steps

1. Remove the wand from the mascara bottle.
2. Place the wand into a cup of hot water for a few minutes.
3. Replace the wand into the bottle.
4. Avoid pumping the mascara wand in the bottle; this is what causes air to go into the bottle and dries out the mascara.

Tips

• An alternative method is to immerse the entire bottle (lid screwed on tightly) in a basin of hot water for 2 minutes. This will allow for at least one more application.
