Scan a Facebook Messenger Code on Android

This article teaches you how to scan a friend’s Facebook Messenger code on an Android.

Steps

  1. Open Messenger. It’s the blue chat bubble icon with a white lightning bolt on your home screen (or in the app drawer).
  2. Tap the contacts icon. It’s the gray icon that looks like a bulleted list at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap Scan Messenger Code. This opens your Android’s camera.
  4. Hold your camera over the Messenger code. A conversation with this person should now appear.
    • If the messenger code is in an image on your Android, tap the button with 6 squares at the bottom-right corner of the screen, then select the image that contains the code.
