Shave Your Legs and Underarms

Shaving is a personal preference, and many individuals and cultures choose not to shave. If you do choose to shave your legs and underarms, this article can help you get it done safely.

Steps

Legs

  1. Wet both of your legs with warm water.
  2. Lather up some Shaving Cream, or conditioner on your legs.
  3. Take your razor, and gently shave up your leg. Never shave downwards, as it can cause ingrown hairs. Remember to be gentle if this is your first time.
  4. For your upper leg, shave downwards.
  5. Repeat with other leg.
  6. When finished, rinse off your legs.
  7. Pat them dry. Don't rub, as this can cause irritation.
  8. Lather some moisturizing lotion onto your legs, for moisturized skin.

Underarms

  1. Wet your underarms.
  2. Lather Shaving Cream or conditioner.
  3. Gently shave. It doesn't matter which way you shave.
  4. When finished, rinse your underarms.
  5. Pat them dry, don't rub them.
  6. Add moisturizing lotion.

Tips

  • Rinse your razor after each stroke.
  • Don't shave too hard, or too soft. If you shave too hard, you can cut yourself. If you save too soft, you won't get a good shave.
  • If you cut yourself, get out of the water immediately, get a band-aid or something and put pressure on it.
  • Always put moisturizing cream on after shaving.
  • After shaving your legs run your hands over your legs to check for missed areas. Your touch is the best way especially if you have blond, fine hair.
