Steps
- Find a razor. Nothing fancy, a simple two blade razor will do the job.
- Purchase some shaving gel. Something with aloe works best because it will keep skin smooth and soft.
- Wet your legs with warm water.
- Apply the shave gel over the desired area. If this is your first time, don't put it all over your leg. Work in sections. If you take too long, the shave gel will dry out.
- Take an unused razor and wet it. Shake off excess water.
- Start off just above the ankle and pull up towards the knee. You will feel the blade, but it should not hurt. You do not need to press at all. Just glide it along your leg. If the hairs are long, use short strokes, rinsing after each one so your razor doesn't get clogged.
- Be especially careful on the shin bone. This area, due to its boniness, is very prone to causing severe nicks. Run the blade over the area gently.
- Rinse your legs after you've shaved and repeat the process if there is still hair.
- Rinse once more, and apply an alcohol-free moisturizer.
Tips
- Take your time.
- Shaving lasts for about two days.
- Don't do this without one of your parents or guardians knowing.
- If you need to see your legs, you can purchase a clear shaving gel or cream.
- Before you put on the gel, soak your legs in warm water. This softens the hair and makes it easier to shave the hair.
Warnings
- Do not shave sideways.
- Make sure you're not allergic to any ingredients contained in the shaving gel.
