Install a Program from a CD or DVD on a Mini Laptop Without a disk drive using Daemon Tools
Most mini laptops or Netbooks do not have an internal disk drive. You can buy an external one but they can be expensive. This how to will show you how to install a program on a CD or DVD without a physical drive.

- Download 'Daemon Tools'. Daemon tools is a program that mounts a virtual CD/DVD drive on your computer. It is available in the free 'lite' version or a professional version.
- Create an ISO of the disk. You may need to borrow a friends PC or use on that has a real CD/DVD drive. Download Daemon tools on their computer and click 'Make Disk image'.
- Transfer the ISO file you have just made onto your mini laptop. You can use a USB Flash Drive or Internet storage. You can even transfer files through a network.
- Right click the image file and choose 'Mount Image'.
- You're done. Now install the program as if you were using a normal disk in a real drive.

- Some software can be downloaded as an ISO image for mounting using software like Daemon Tools.
- You can customize drives using Daemon Tools features.
