Stop Co Workers from Stealing Your Food

In any office situation, there's always at least someone or a group of people that are guilty of stealing another person's lunch, meal, snack, or drink from the office fridge. Here is a little trick to keep those "hungry" hands and eyes away from your food.

Steps

  1. Prepare your bag. Make sure you get a clean plastic bag. If you are using an old bag, make sure you wipe the green spots off the bag.
  2. Place the sandwich in the bag. Seal the bag tight and make sure that you actually place real mold onto the sandwich. Make sure all of the air is out of the bag. Double check to make sure that the sandwich doesn't move or slide around. If it does, your mold might touch the bag which gives away the moldy secret. Write a note using a sticky Post-It note that says, "Free Ham And Cheese Sandwich ".
  3. Chill the sandwich. Place your sandwich bag in the very front of the fridge in a sitting position. The mold needs to constantly be refrigerated at all times. You want to give the illusion that the sandwich does not have mold (but it does).
  4. Enjoy your co-workers reaction. Wait until some unlucky thief takes the moldy sandwich. Watch them digest the poisonous mold and see what happens. They will be in the hospital for a while, so that means your sandwich is safe again.

Tips

  • You can put black food grade frosting dye in your sandwiches and other foods to catch culprits. It temporarily stains your teeth a noticeable black or dark blue. You can scrape it off when you want to eat your lunch, or just leave it if you don't mind black teeth.
