Stop Feeling Like a Failure

We all feel like a failure at one point or another. However, this thought, with the right methods, can be combated.

Steps

  1. Ask yourself, "Why am I feeling like a failure?". Maybe others around you tell you that you can't sing or that you're short. If this is the case, you need to discard these statements because no one is perfect. Look around you and you'll find people with flaws; everyone has them. Some are better at hiding it or dealing with it but they too are imperfect, just like you.
  2. Pay attention to your circle. Do you know that who you spend your time around directly influences you? So if you spend your time around sluggish, low-lives, then you will feel like a sluggish person or for the purpose of this article, like a failure. Try to surround yourself with people who have high self seem, are happy and outgoing.
  3. Think positively. Your thoughts have a direct effect on your feelings. If you think that's a joke, ask a psychologist. Instead of dwelling on what you couldn't achieve, grab a pen and paper and write down the things you're good at (maybe you have good sense of humor or you are a person with kind heart? Anything). Write them down and be proud of yourself. There must be someone who might envy your way of talking or the way you make people smile.
  4. Analyze your diet. You need a good diet in order to feel well. So go to the grocery store and get some fruits and vegetables and other healthy foods and start reaping the benefits.
  5. Sleep. You need to get your sleep. If you're sleep deprived then you will feel like a failure because when you try to attempt a task, you will be too sleepy to complete it and you will end up feeling like a failure.
  6. Do something you completely love to do and try to get out of the 'FAILURE' world. Hang out with friends, watch a movie, paint, dance, listen to music. Do something  that makes you happy.

Tips

  • Remember that you need to get your sleep, eat and have a positive mindset in order to not feel like a failure.
  • Constantly tell yourself that you are not a failure. By doing that, you will not feel like a failure any more.
  • Instead of feeling like a failure, get up and work hard on the thing(s) that made you feel like one. Nothing is impossible.
  • Try repeating positive self affirmations. For example, "I am a confident, successful woman/man/kid."

Warnings

  • If your feelings are beginning to interfere with your life, seek proper psychological help.
