Stop Page Borders from Falling off the Page in MS Word
It can be really annoying if you have chosen an attractive border to go around your project when you are using Microsoft Word, and when you print the page, half of it is cut off at the bottom. Learn how to print all of your border on one page.
Steps
- Open a new Word document.
- Go to Format tab and click on Borders and Shading. Then, click on the Page Border tab at the top of the dialog box.
- Select your favourite border style.
- Click on 'Options' button in the bottom right-hand corner of the dialog.
- Around the middle of the new window, there is a tab saying 'Measure from:'
- Change the drop-down menu setting to read 'Text'.
- Change all the drop-down menus at the top reading, 'Top', 'Bottom', 'Left' and 'Right' to 0 pt.
- Click OK and then OK again.
- Now your border will print all in one sheet of paper!
Tips
- It depends on your type of printer whether the border will be cut off in the first place.
- Alternatively, or if your borders still don't print in their entirety, go to FILE/PAGE SETUP and increase Top/Bottom/Left/Right Margins as necessary.
