Teach Your Kid Adding and Subtracting

This is an easy way to help a child do math when they're very young. Just see and you will get it!

Steps

  1. Teach your kid to do addition.
    • Like 2+2=4.
    • Do single digit addition.
  2. Have them draw two lines representing number 2.
  3. Tell them to add two more lines next to them.
  4. Make them count the lines and say the answer.
    • Ask your kid to add the total lines that they drew and tell it out loud.
  5. Ask them what they got and tell them it's the answer!
  6. Teach Subtraction.
    • Make them learn simple subtractions like 3-2=1.
  7. Tell your child to draw three lines representing number 3.
  8. Now tell them to cross the lines out instead of adding more.
    • Tell them to cross out the number of lines which has to be subtracted from the given number. Like crossing 2 lines on 3 gives the result 1. (3-2=1)
  9. Make your child to practice a lot. Math is practice after all. Don't expect them to be correct on the first step.
  10. Ask them how many they have and explain why they got it.
  11. Teach Addition.
    • 4+4=8
  12. Teach Subtraction.
    • 6-2=4
  13. Teach single digit Addition or Subtraction by memorizing the numbers from 1 through10.
