Text Message Your Friends

This is a quick guide to sending text messages on most phone models. It is a great way to communicate with friends.

Steps

  1. Go to the menu of your phone. If there is a middle button or some sort of button that kind of stands out of the other buttons, try pressing that as it may take you to the menu.
  2. There should be an option called messages. Select this option.
  3. Your phone will most likely ask you to either type to message or enter the phone number.
  4. Write what you want to say. It could be a 'hello' or 'how are you'.
  5. Send away! Soon your friend should have received the message and write back.

Tips

  • The other is simpler, but takes longer. Push the number on your phone however many times it takes to get to that letter. (2=a 22=b 555=l) If you need to type a letter that is on the same key as your previous letter wait a few seconds and then type the letter.
  • One is a software that comes on your phone, it is called t9. Just push the button with the letter you want once. Once you have entered all of the letters, push the 'next' (or something similar) button on your phone and it will cycle through a list of words that can be made with the letters you entered. Although, some people prefer the normal method as the words that your phone guesses you meant might not be the exact word you were trying to type.
  • There are several different ways that you can type on a phone. Feel free to add more.
  • Some phones, including the LG enV2, LG Voyager, LG rumor2, LG Dare, Samsung Alias, and Apple iPhone, have a QWERTY (computer) keyboard that has one letter per key, and is typed using two thumbs.
