Use AAA Batteries As AA Batteries
Ever wanted to work a device that needs batteries, but the battery slot is too big for your batteries to fit? Well, here's a way to convert smaller batteries into larger batteries (in this case, converting AAA batteries into AA batteries).
Steps
- Get your device that needs AA batteries and get your AAA batteries.
- Grab some aluminum foil.
- Place the AAA batteries into your device's battery slot. You will obviously see some extra space in the slot, since the AAA batteries are smaller than AA batteries.
- Rip a piece of aluminum foil and curl it into a small ball. The size of the ball should be the same size of the extra space in your device's battery slot.
- Place the aluminum foil in the gap. The aluminum foil should be on the battery's negative terminal, not the positive.
- Finished. Your device will be able to work.
Tips
- Make sure the foil is on the negative terminal of the battery, or else it won't work.
- Since AAA batteries are smaller than AA batteries, they won't last very long in a device that needs AA batteries.
- Tin foil can also work.
- Other batteries can also be used.
