Wrap a Burger

There are a few ways to wrap burgers. This article will two of the more popular methods used, a full wrap and a half wrap. There is even more than one kind of each but, we will focus on the most commonly used.

Steps

Full wrap

It's actually a rather easy wrap.

  1. Center the burger in the middle of the wrap.
  2. Fold the top half over the burger so it covers about half.
  3. Fold the bottom half of the wrap over the burger; it should overlap the top half.
  4. While holding the wrap tight, slide your middle fingers to the sides of the burger keeping the wrap tight.
  5. Using your thumbs, fold the bottom corners of the wrap in tight along the burger like a present.
  6. While holding the bottom corners down with your thumbs, use your index fingers to grasp the top corners and fold them in tight along the side of the burger, again like a present. This should give you a triangle-ish shape on each side.
  7. Tuck each triangle under the burger one at a time.

Half wrap

Half wrap using a square wrap

  1. Center the burger at the top of the wrap with about half the burger hanging over the edge.
  2. Take the bottom of the wrap and fold about two inches toward the burger creating a loose crease across the wrap.
  3. Take the bottom two inches and fold them back toward you, as though you are folding a map.
  4. Take the entire bottom of the wrap and fold it over the burger leaving about have exposed.
  5. While holding the wrap tight, slide your middle fingers to the sides of the burger keeping the wrap tight.
  6. Using your thumbs, fold the bottom corners of the wrap in tight along the burger like a present. This should give you a triangle-ish shape on each side.
  7. Tuck each triangle under the burger one at a time.

Half wrap w/ a triangle wrap

  1. Center the burger at the top of the wrap with about half the burger hanging over the edge.
  2. Fold the bottom corner of the wrap under the burger.
  3. Fold each of the sides underneath the burger one at a time.

Tips

  • Like anything else it takes a bit of practice, but it's really simple.
  • Don't hold it so tight you smash the burger.
  • The tighter you hold the wrap the easier and neater it will look.

Warnings

  • Don't slide your fingers on the edge of the wrapper, as paper cuts may occur if not careful enough.
