Write a Thank You Note for a Gift Card

It can be hard to write a Thank You card for gift cards, because, well,it's a slip of plastic! I hope these tips help!

Steps

Buy something with the gift card. That way, you can say "I got a teddy bear with the gift card and I love it!"
If it's a gift card to a restaurant, thank the person by telling them what you ate and how much you loved it.
If something else came with the gift card, thank them for that, also.
Write something on your own.It doesn't have to be a letter!Just a small memo would do, if it has your best wishes and your real thank-you's.The receiver will love it, if he/she finds out you enjoyed the gift card.
Add to the note something personal which concerns the relationship of you two.By this way the receiver will not regret his gesture of sending the card.
Customize the thank you note, if your relationship with that person isn't formal.Probably you could add a "THANK YOU" picture or even draw it yourself.He / She will definitely love it.
Insert it in a cover as in the picture.It will look so cute and nice of you either is formal or either is informal for a friend or relative.

If you haven't spent the gift card yet, tell them your plans for the gift card.
Be sincere.

Try your hardest not to offend them. If all your Thank you notes have Thanks for the gift!! on the front, they may think you are telling them you are mad that they didn't give you a real gift.
Don't overdo it.The thank you note shouldn't be really big.Some real and even funny lines would be the most appropriate.
