Accessorize Your School Uniform
When your school makes you wear a school uniform it's hard to look individual and unique, especially if it's a really strict uniform. Here are some steps that might be you stand out from the crowd. Get started with number one below.
Steps
- Get a copy of the school rulebook and make sure you understand it. Look for loopholes. An example would be: No nail polish where it can be seen. You could then apply nail polish to your toenails.
- If your school gives you culottes or pants, you could add subtle embellishments. If you have a skirt that the school provides you with, make it just above your knees if allowed.
- Try fun, different hairstyles, i.e.: Wavy, curly, straight, braids, pulled up, or even a bun. Use cute barrettes, hair clips, hair bands, headbands, and hair ties,>
- Makeup: Wear BB Cream, concealer, and powder. Then apply eyeliner, mascara and do your brows. Contour your cheeks and nose. Add a pop of color to your lips if your school permits makeup for girls, or boys.
- Try wearing some simple jewelry if allowed. Add adorable studs, with gorgeous string bracelets or hair ties.
- Get a backpack. No totes and such. It will weigh down one of your shoulders which is not good for you. Add cute patches to your backpack, and key chains. Use fabric glue, and then sprinkle some glitter. Apply the glue in the way your name is.
- Buy a school jacket that works with your shape, don't forget that the size really can change the way it looks on you. Stitch your name at the back. It'll look adorable. Do not alter any uniform blazer.
- Buy leather, metallic, stoned, and fabric belts. And wear them over your pants. Don't wear tacky ones, it just looks terrible.
- Add wristbands. Its cute to get SPCA bands. Any shop really, will look good. Don't overdo it.
- Paint your nails. You might want to wear fake nails. Try just a faint colour so it doesn't get into trouble
- Wear uniquely patterned tights with your skirt as long as they're black (or whatever color they're meant to be).
- Wear flats/high tops/sneakers. Don't use heels. Or pumps. Or anything tacky. When you are late to class and you are running, your heel may break. Also most schools don't allow heels over {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} and some schools have a standard shoe that all pupils must wear any way.
- Wear your tie tied how you like it. Have a big chunky knot, or a tiny skinny one. Scarves inside are really hot sometimes.
- Enjoy.
Tips
- Try to make it look like it's your own style.
- Its cool to wear things at once. If teachers tell you to stop, show them the rulebook.
- When you accessorize make sure you stay within the rules given by your school.
- Just get a copy of the school rulebook and see what is allowed. Once you see what you can add, only add what you want to add. There is no need to add patches or key chains if you don't want to. Internet fashion advice is like a suggestion. You don't always have to do it if you do not want to.
- Watch the dress code and focus on your shoes.
- If glasses are needed, when buying them, try them on. You might want them to match your face shapes, and braces.
- Never shop together, people will copy your style. Shop together only if they swore upon their life not to copy.
- If you like the personality, try out geek. This suits the theme; school!
- If you need braces, get: Clear ones, pink, purple, dark blue, light blue, red, and orange. Your teeth must be white. Your braces color must match your lips.
- Figure out which teachers care about uniform rules and which don't. Use this to you really advantage.
- No idea copying. Makes you pathetic and fake.
- Everything you wear must be according to code.
Warnings
- Before you try anything, check your school's dress code rules. You might be sitting in detention for just the wrong colour socks. It has happened!
- Everything you wear must be allowed.
