Add Photos to a Bulletin or Comment on MySpace
Have you ever wanted to send a picture to someone over Myspace? Maybe spice up your bulletins or give someone a picture through a comment? Or wish to be more personal and send it in a inbox message? Well, you can do any of the options in a few steps! Here's a guide of how to add photos on Myspace.
Steps
- Make sure the picture is on the internet. You can create an account at Photobucket or Imageshack, or any other image hosting site for free. You can't have it on your computer & expect it to work from there; no one can see things on your hard drive (the reason why it needs to be online for someone else to view).
- Get the HTML image URL of the picture. If you are using Photobucket, you'll have options (URL, HTML, and ezCode) - use the HTML selection. Copy the URL:
<a href="http://www.photobucket.com"><img src="http://yourimageurl.jpg"></a>
- Omit the link part of the URL, as it's not needed. The section you want of the URL is this:
<img src="http://yourimageurl.jpg">
- Insert that into your message, comment, or bulletin.
Allowing HTML, so images will show
This method will allow you to enable HTML in your own comments, blogs, etc, so that people can post images.
- Go to your home page & click on "Account Settings".
- Click the "Miscellaneous" link.
- Look under the "HTML Comments" section & insert checkmarks in the appropriate sections where you wish to have HTML enabled.
- Click on the "Save All Changes" button.
Tips
- HTML will only work in comments if the receiver (the person you are sending it to), accepts HTML in their comments section. If they don't, the code will come up as text form.
- Be sure to watch out for the file height & width, as it may stretch out screens for some people if the image is too big.
- This HTML code can also be used on profiles; if you wish to insert a picture onto your main profile page (not in the picture albums).
Warnings
- Using someone else's pictures without their permission can get your Myspace account deleted.
