Add a File to iTunes
Do you want to add a file, such as a .wav, .mp3, or .m4a, to iTunes? Follow these simple steps to do so, allowing you to listen to it, put it on your iPod, or burn it to a CD.
Steps
- Open iTunes.
- Find the file(s) you wish to add to iTunes. If you need to press apple/⌘ F and enter the name of the file. An application will open that will find your file for you.
- Go to the folder where the music file is and drag it into your iTunes library.
- Wait for the song to appear in your library with the name of the file as your song's name.
- Change the details of the song. Click on it to select it and click on the text that you wish to change.
- Drag it to your iPod, another CD, or a playlist. Have fun!
Tips
- When you add the song's name, it may have seemingly disappeared. This is because the library is in alphabetical order. Scroll up and down until you find it.
