Age Faster on Sims 3

Your teenage Sim bored of being a teen? Wanna move house but too young? The super quick way is to age up on Sims 3. Here are 3 different Methods on how to do so.

Steps

Throwing a Party

  1. Start a Party. Get your Sim or their parent (if they are too young) to go to the phone and throw a party at home. Make sure it is a birthday party and not just a house party. (This step is optional. You can also skip directly to the second step)
  2. Buy the Cake. Go into "Buy Mode". Go into "Entertainment" and then "Party". Purchase a birthday cake.
  3. Blow out the candles! When the guests arrive, have the Sim who is going to age up blow out the candles. It will take a while because there will be loads of party blowers and stuff but after all the celebration, the Sim will have loads of sparkly stuff swirling round them and then they will age up.

Using a Cheat Code

  1. Type in Cheat code. Go to the cheat box (press Ctrl + Shift + C) and then type in TestingCheatsEnabled True then press enter.
  2. Make the Sim age up. Now, you can Shift + click on whichever sim you would like to age up, and click "Trigger Age Transition" and they will have their birthday, and then grow up, now matter how many days until their next birthday.

Shortening Your Lifespan

  1. Enter the options menu. Enter the "Options"-Menu (the three dots in lower left corner), choose "Options..." and enter the tab "Game options".
  2. Change Lifespan. Move the bar "Sim Lifespan" to "Short (25 days)".
  3. Result. This way, your Sim will age quickly.

Tips

  • When the Sim ages up, take them to a dresser and plan outfit. This is a good idea as they normally have awful clothes on when they age up.
  • Set the speed to 4/ultra-speed if you want because it takes ages for everyone to finish celebrating.
  • Make sure the party is at your home lot.
  • If their hairstyle has changed, take them to a mirror and change appearance. Also if they had make up on before they aged, it normally disappears.
  • Make sure it is a birthday party you throw.
  • If you have Sims 3 Ambitions, you can go to a styling station and fix your outfits, make up and hair all at the same time.
  • You don't have to throw a party just buy a cake and age up.

Warnings

  • Sims that age up quickly, obviously have a shorter life unless you turn off aging afterwards.
  • You cannot make them age down again afterwards so make sure it is what you want to do.
