Have a Brilliant Party in Sims 3

Parties are great fun for Sims. They can be a good way to make friends, boost your mood, and even help you fulfill your Sim's goals. For a successful party, read on.

Steps

  1. Click on your phone and select either, "throw party" or "throw party at..." If in a different lot, select "throw party at..." and select where you want to have it out. You could pay more for exclusive access; this is especially good when you don't want anyone else to show up at public events. Make sure to pick a good location! A few suggestions are the community park, pool, or dance club (for Sims 3 Late Night users)
  2. Invite your boyfriend/girlfriend, best friends, and acquaintances! Inviting co-workers can also help a lot with your job. The more the merrier!
  3. Make sure you serve food. You can either cook it yourself beforehand or you could buy a buffet bar. Keep in mind that to serve food on a buffet bar, it costs 250 Simoleons; however, the buffet bars serve nice quality foods like autumn salad, turkey, and cookies. If you want, you could buy a bar and make drinks, or hire a bartender to tend it for you (for Late Night users)
  4. Also, try to have a Sim in your household that can play an instrument. When the guests arrive, you let him/her make music. Most sims like having music around them.
    • If you're not having any musical Sim in your household, you should buy a stereo. This will also give you some music at which your guests can dance and jam!
  5. Beforehand, make sure your Sim is well-rested and in a good mood. It will help to prepare a few hours in advance. You're not going to be able to pull off a good party if your Sim is tired all night.
  6. Socialize with as many guests as you can. The more you talk with them, the more fun they will have.

Alternative Method If You Don't Have Late Night

  1. Use your phone to invite as many people as you can. Use the Make My Sim Know Everyone cheat to make sure it reaches everyone.
  2. Choose a theme for your party. Choose something cute or flirty.
  3. Prepare for the guests. When they start arriving, lead them all in. Flirt shamelessly with any boy or girl you cross.
  4. Prepare a room for everyone to stay in if they can't go home. If so, know your and every other Sims' limits. Some will party forever, others will leave after the first song.
  5. When most guests have crashed/left, turn off the music. You must do this unless you want to wake up and find everyone dancing again.
  6. Go take a shower or a bath. A bath is preferable as it relaxes your Sim more.
  7. Go eat, if you need to. You might not, but cram a few more things in as you may throw up.
  8. Go to sleep. This is vitally important if you don't want your Sim to die.
  9. When you wake up, you have to clean up the damage. Cleaning up the damage consists of the following:
    • Shoo everyone, and I mean everyone out. If they refuse, kick them out or kill them. It's better to just kick them out but you can kill them if you don't want to see them again.
    • Repair any appliances, etc., that have been broken. You may need a bit of money for this.
    • Generally clean up.
    • Clean yourself. Take a bath, eat, read, sleep, whatever relaxes your Sim. Get them in the best mood possible. Make sure they can go to the toilet if they need to vomit. Brush your teeth after vomiting.
  10. Note that if you are going to have a party again, don't worry about cleaning up unless it's a secret party, and your parent Sims shouldn't notice.

Tips

  • While not entirely necessary, it helps to have things such as a pool, games, a TV, etc., to entertain the guests.
  • Different Sims leave at different times and say different things. Don't be worried if one Sim says the party sucked and leaves early while one Sim says the party rocked and stayed until a little bit after the party was over.
