Backup Photos on Android
This article teaches you how to use the Google Photos app to back up photos on your Android.

Steps
- Open Google Photos. It’s the rainbow pinwheel icon labeled “Photos.” You should find it on the home screen or in the app drawer.
- To open the app drawer on most Androids, tap the icon with several dots or squares near the bottom of the screen.
- Tap ☰. It’s at the top-left corner of Photos.
- Tap Settings. It’s on the left side of the home screen.
- Tap Back up & sync.
- Slide the “Back up & sync” switch to the On (blue) position. The photos on your Android will now back up to your Google account.
- If you have more than one Google account connected to your Android, you’ll have to tap the name of the account to which you want to start the backup.
- To access your backed-up photos on a computer, sign in to https://photos.google.com in a web browser.
