Bake a Double Chocolate Brownie
Craving for something chocolaty? Here's an easy way of baking a double chocolate brownie. This is such a mouth-watering dessert that you will fall in love with it with your first bite.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup (90g) flour
- 3/4 cup (150g) sugar
- 1/3 cup (75g) butter
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) low fat milk
- 2 squares semisweet chocolate, melted
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350º F or 180ºC.
- Sift the flour into a bowl.
- Beat the egg with an electric mixer in a separate bowl.
- Add the sugar, the milk, and the melted semi-sweet chocolate to the bowl with the egg.
- Mix gently with a spoon.
- Add the flour approximately 1 tablespoonful at a time, mixing gently after each addition.
- Beat thoroughly until well mixed.
- Pour into greased and floured pans or fancy cake tins.
- Bake in hot oven for about 15 to 20 minutes, corresponding to the size of the pan or tins.
- Cool for 10 minutes on the unheated stove top or on a rack.
- Cut into bars when cool, using a plastic knife with short sawing motions.
- Serve brownies with a scoop of ice cream, chocolate syrup and/or raspberries on top.
- Finished.
Tips
- Greased and then floured pans or tins help to ensure an easier cleanup.
- Sift the flour at least twice in order to get a smooth batter.
Warnings
- Avoid any hand contact with the oven or the hot pans or tins. Use oven mitts or hot pads.
