Bake a Nut Cake
Nut cakes are a bit expensive to make, but make fine eating, especially during the winter months when a more heavily textured dessert is in order to keep everyone satisfied. This cake is an excellent choice.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (115g) butter
- 1 1/2 cups (300g) sugar
- 3 eggs
- 3 cups (375g) flour
- 5 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) milk
- 3/4 cup (82g) chopped nuts
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Steps
- Cream the butter and add the sugar gradually.
- Beat the eggs and add them to the Make Walnut Butter Cookies mixture.
- Sift the flour and baking powder and alternately with the milk.
- Fold in the Bake a Lady Baltimore Cake.
- Add the vanilla.
- Pour batter into two greased and floured 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pans.
- Bake at 350ºF/180ºC for 25 to 30 minutes or until the cake tests done.
- Let cool in pans 10 minutes.
- Turn out onto wire baking racks.
- Frost as desired. A Make Caramel Ice Cream or penuche frosting would take terrific with this cake.
