Bake a Nut Cake

Nut cakes are a bit expensive to make, but make fine eating, especially during the winter months when a more heavily textured dessert is in order to keep everyone satisfied. This cake is an excellent choice.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (115g) butter
  • 1 1/2 cups (300g) sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups (375g) flour
  • 5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) milk
  • 3/4 cup (82g) chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps

  1. Cream the butter and add the sugar gradually.
  2. Beat the eggs and add them to the Make Walnut Butter Cookies mixture.
  3. Sift the flour and baking powder and alternately with the milk.
  4. Fold in the Bake a Lady Baltimore Cake.
  5. Add the vanilla.
  6. Pour batter into two greased and floured 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pans.
  7. Bake at 350ºF/180ºC for 25 to 30 minutes or until the cake tests done.
  8. Let cool in pans 10 minutes.
  9. Turn out onto wire baking racks.
  10. Frost as desired. A Make Caramel Ice Cream or penuche frosting would take terrific with this cake.
